No, Backes. What JFK had was "adrenal atrophy." It shrank from all the steroid use. And the adrenal gland consists mostly of cortex, and that's what got shrunken from his heavy use of steroids. The medulla is really more like a cluster of nerve cells. It looks very different; it's very small; and it looks more like nerve tissue than glandular tissue. And, it wouldn't visually stand out at an autopsy.  

Remember, this all started because you denied that Kennedy was capable of having an adrenergic response. But, that is ridiculous because besides the adrenal medulla, which is like a sympathetic ganglion, there are numerous other sympathetic ganglia.

"Sympathetic ganglia contain approximately 20,000–30,000 nerve cell bodies and are located close to and on either side of the spinal cord in long chains. They mediate the familiar 'fight or flight' response."

Again, this all started because YOU denied that Kennedy was capable of having an adrenergic response after being shot in the back and in the throat. But, very rarely a person is born without a adrenal medulla at all, but they are only mildly compromised, and they are still capable of adrenergic response because of compensation by the other sympathetic ganglia. They suffer a lot from the lack of a cortex, but not from a lack of a medulla. 


"Absent adrenal gland is a rare condition where the adrenal gland is absent at birth.  It should not be confused with adrenal insufficiency or congenital adrenal hyperplasia, where the gland is present but may not be functioning adequately.
Due to the absence of an adrenal cortex, the condition causes extreme symptoms of adrenal insufficiency immediately at birth due to very low levels of aldosterone and cortisol. The adrenal medulla can be normally present, poorly formed, or absent, however even if absent, the effects of circulatory catecholamine deficiency are generally mild due to sympathetic nervous system compensation."

People sometimes have complete surgical removal of both of the adrenal medulla due to bilateral pheochromocytoma, and they live. They're still capable of adrenergic responses, as explained. 

So, there is no reason to think JFK was incapable of an adrenergic response, and he seems to be having one right here:
