Admittedly, there are a lot of people who are incensed at the idea of claiming that Mary Moorman didn't take the Moorman photo. They see it as an affront to her, as being cruel to an old woman.
I have never accused Mary Moorman of lying or of any wrongdoing. I have never suggested that she was part of anything criminal. I think she was the victim of something criminal. I think she was manipulated and used.
But, to close one's eyes to this just because you like Mary Moorman and want to be sweet to her is ridiculous. It's childish. It's not something that any mature adult should do.
I'm not trying to take her photo from her, and I'm not trying to discredit her. But, if the science shows that she didn't take, and so far two physicists have said so, then she didn't take it.
Lately, we have been looking at the fact that, for some reason, the slope of the road really doesn't manifest in the Moorman photo. In fact, the part of the limo that was lower down actually appears higher up.
Can you see that the x on the right is lower than the x on the left?
The road was sloping down the other way. It's the diagonal angle of the photographer's viewpoint that accounts for that. The prof says so.
So again, there is no doubt that this photograph was not taken by someone who was perpendicular to Elm. It was taken by someone who was standing at an eccentric angle to Elm.
All of the images of Mary Moorman that I've seen show her standing perpendicular to Elm. And whenever she has demonstrated it, she has stood perpendicular to Elm. She has never claimed to have been anything but perpendicular to Elm. Of course, she didn't use the word "perpendicular" but she stood there perpendicular as she reenacted the picture-taking.
