I'd like to explain what happened on Christopher Ball's site. He is an advocate of the Moorman photo having been taken prior to the fatal head shot. 

You realize that there is a big controversy because if the Moorman photo was taken AFTER the fatal head shot, we should see the big blowout wound that the Parkland medical staff saw.

But, we don't see it in the Moorman photo, and Vincent Bugliosi used that to argue that all the Parkland doctors and nurses were wrong, that the Moorman photo proved them wrong, since the Moorman photo was taken AFTER the fatal head shot and JFK's head appears to be intact.  

So obviously, it's very important to figure when the Moorman photo was taken- regardless of who took it- and that's what I was trying to do. 

And, I did so with a very open mind, hoping to find that the Moorman photo was taken before the fatal head shot. And I started by asking Mary Moorman, and she told me that she took her photo simultaneous with the first shot, and then she heard two more shots. 

So, that certainly suggested that Chris was right in his belief and that it resolved the whole controversy. Of course JFK's head looks intact in the Moorman photo because it hadn't been blown out yet. 

But, of course, I had to verify it independently. And when I started comparing frames of the Zapruder film and other films with the Moorman photo, looking for the closest match in every detail, and particularly the arrangement of Jack and Jackie- what they were doing- I found out that the lonenutters, including Vincent Bugliosi, were right, that the Moorman photo was taken after the fatal head shot. 

The Zapruder film that matches best to the Moorman photo is Zapruder 316, which is 3 frames after the fatal head shot, hence 1/6 second. 

 Now, if I'm wrong about that, then I'm off by one frame. One could argue that Z-315 is a better match. Bugliosi went with 315. But, there are no frames preceding the fatal head shot which duplicate the arrangement in the Moorman photo. The claim that the Moorman photo was taken AFTER the fatal head shot is correct. The claim that it was taken before is wrong. 

But, Chris Ball clings to the idea that it was taken before, and he doesn't want to reconsider. And that's the reason he opposes what I am doing. 

Mary Moorman's photo definitely WAS taken before, and she says so herself. I don't doubt it. I absolutely know she's right. But, the historical Moorman photo is not the photo that Mary took. There was a bait and switch. 

And, I was pleased to discover that plenty of others realized this long before I did, that the Moorman photo must have been taken by the Babushka Lady.

If Mary Moorman had taken the Moorman photo, she would have had to wait until the motorcycle cops got past her so that they would be included in her photo, as they were. But, by the time they got past her, Clint Hill was already on the ground running. 

   
Now, at this point, the motorcycle cops are still not quite far enough along in my opinion, but we'll let that go. But, you notice that Clint Hill is in the picture, and if we waited any longer, he would be that much more thrust into the picture. But, Clint Hill is not in the Moorman photo.

So, the Moorman photo was taken BEFORE Clint Hill made his move. And that means that Mary Moorman could not have taken it. 

Again, I was hoping to find that the Moorman photo was taken BEFORE the fatal head shot because that would have solved everything. But, it wasn't. The facts show that it was taken after the fatal head shot. That's true, whether one likes it or not. We should never fight reality. And that is what Christopher Ball is doing on this issue. And it's a pity.
