No, Backes. His left side wasn't too close to her, but if it was too close, it would have filled her whole camera field and blocked everything else. It wasn't invisible. 



And what is diagrammed above is just a demonstration. It's not mathematically exact. But, you see that her angle of view is capturing his left side before it gets to his right side. There is nothing obstructing her camera's view of his left side. His left side may be obstructing her camera's view of his right side, but not vice versa. The left side of him has got to be captured in the photo because, again, it's not invisible. 

Everything you said about this is wrong; polar wrong.
