Do you see on top how the bony and relatively narrow wrist expands into a meaty, fleshy, muscular pad? But below, we see this linearity- just a straight line- and the complete absence of the normal form. To draw the human body, you do have to study anatomy. You have to know how human beings are constructed. The guy who did this lousy art for the Moorman photo never cracked an anatomy book in his life. And it shows.
