One of our regular listeners requested this song, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, and I figured that our other regular listener wouldn't mind if we played it. Just kidding. This song, from 1967, written by an Italian, Bob Gaudio, and sung by an Italian, Frankie Valli, (I'm Italian, hence the significance) has become one of the most popular and most covered songs in music history. It is also one of top songs to be featured in movies. NASA used it on the Space Shuttle as the morning wake-up song for the astronauts; hence, it has been played in space. And even today, it is a popular chant at football stadiums, where they substitute the name of their beloved team for "Baby". Paul Popa just arrived here last night and did not know the song. But, wait to you hear the magnificent guitar playing he came up with.
