It is very satisfying realizing how far we've come. The issue of Oswald in the doorway is not front and center in the whole JFK debate; at least online. There is hardly anybody who isn't aware that the identity of the Doorway Man as Oswald is being vigorously pushed- and not just by me.
And now you've got other people advocating Oswald in the doorway- even if they're going with the wrong man. And that includes Jim DiEugenio, Greg Parker, Sean Murphy, and others. Bizarrely, they are advocating someone as Oswald in the doorway who doesn't have Oswald's build, doesn't have Oswald's clothes, and is there at a when Oswald was surely on his way to the lunch room ahead of Baker. And, even Joseph Backes had fallen for this ridiculous choice.
But, the point is that now the idea of Oswald in the doorway is widely accepted. In fact, it may be that the majority of CTs accept it. And why shouldn't they? Where the hell else would Oswald be? He'd already eaten, and he wasn't to get his Coke until afterwards. That means that at 12:30, he wasn't eating and he wasn't drinking, and therefore, why would he be in the lunch room?
It used to be that a lot of people used to say that Oswald said that he was in the lunch room during the shooting. That is a lie. It's a lie of Will Fritz who told the Warren Commission that Oswald said he was eating lunch with other employees at the time of the shooting. The "other employees" to which Fritz referred were Junior Jarman and Harold Norman who were up at the window on the 5th floor with Bonnie Ray Williams at the time of the shooting. And we have a picture.
So, that was just a lie, just as the idea that Lovelady drew an arrow to Doorman on CE 369 to indicate himself is just a lie. And when you throw out that lie, you realize that there is NOWHERE else but the doorway for Oswald to be at the time of the shooting.
And why the hell wouldn't he be in the doorway? What right does anyone have to assume that Oswald would have NO interest in seeing Kennedy? There was a Cold War going on which Kennedy was at the center of, and Oswald was married to a Soviet woman. Oswald had more reason to be interested in Kennedy than the others who worked there. Where do people get off thinking they have a right to assume that Oswald would have preferred to sit in an empty lunch room doing nothing or just walking around the building when Kennedy was going to pass?
It was historic, wasn't it? And I mean before it developed into an assassination. It was a once in a lifetime event, wasn't it? And again, I mean before it developed into an assassination. Oswald discussed it with his wife the night before, and she spoke admirably of Kennedy. Wouldn't that have given him even more reason to want to experience the event, to tell her about it?
You know Oswald was keenly interested in politics. He liked talking about different political and economic systems, and other people said he liked talking about that, including Michael Paine. Since there was nothing else going on that could possibly have distracted him, why the hell wouldn't he have stepped outside? He didn't have a book to read. He didn't have a puzzle to work. He didn't have a letter to write. He didn't have a call to make (though the phones were turned off). There is no reason to place him anywhere outside at the time of the shooting, and there is no other activity or interest that can be attributed to him at the time of the shooting.
Of course, this was always true and always easily discerned. So, why was it that the mostly widely cited claim used to be that Oswald told police that he was in the lunch room at the time of the shooting?
It's just an urban legend. Oswald told Fritz that he was "out with Bill Shelley in front." And he could only have meant during the assassination because Shelley wasn't out there after the assassination. There is NO CHANCE that Oswald saw Shelley when he left to go home because Shelley was definitely not out there at that time. And for the record, Shelley, himself, said that the first time he saw Oswald after the assassination was at the PD. I will plainly tell you that Shelley lied in denying that he saw Oswald in the doorway. That's right, he lied, Backes. Just as you say that the Dallas Police and FBI lied about all the things involving the bus and cab rides, I say Shelley lied about not seeing Oswald out front. Shelley was in on it, Backes. Shelley was CIA. Shelley was in deep with David Byrd, the owner of the building, who was involved up to his neck.
One thing is for sure: the foregone conclusion that Doorman was Lovelady is DEAD, and it is NEVER coming back to life.
You know I took a poll on Facebook, and the support was overwhelming- and I mean a landslide- that Oswald was the Altgens Doorman. And most of the people involved I don't even know.
We are winning, Backes, and you are losing. With each passing day, more people join our side, and that trend is going to continue. In fact, it can't be stopped- not by you, and not by anybody. It's Oswald in the doorway, the Altgens Doorway, whether you like it or not.
