The other ridiculous, laughable thing about this is that Mary was ready to take her picture from the moment they turned onto Elm. Do you really think she let them reach her and pass her and waited until here to finally take her picture?
I don't think anybody has done that in the history of humanity: be ready to take someone's picture who was approaching from the right and not take it until he was this far past her. NEVER.
