Here is the street sign on Houston Street in Hughes. It's just a little past the intersection of Main. Notice the corner of the building on the right.

You also see it in Dorman, and notice the white car in the intersection.

Well, that was directly across from the Glovers. Notice the time: second 25. The Glovers are seen at second 26.  From there, the camera moved directly across to them.

Look at this; it's from second 26. That's the Glovers second. But, in this split-second, we can still see a car in the intersection of Main.

Look at the upper right corner. You see that cream-colored thing? That is a car. It is at 90 degrees to the other cars, and that is because it is still on Main Street making the turn onto Houston. So, we are still close to the intersection at second 26. But, you only have to go a tiny split-second more to visualize the Glovers.

This next frame is a tiny split-second later, and you can see the car still making the turn from Main. It looks diagonal to us because it's turning.

So, we know we are still close to Main because there's the car turning from Main, and there's a guy across the street watching. We are going to use him to place the Glovers as they come into view.

So, there he is again, and behind him a little bit north, is Mrs. Glover, whose arm you see.

So, let's see how it looks if we combine the two frames:

Bingo. Mrs. Glover was not up on Elm Street. In the above collage, you can see the car that is turning from Main to Houston, and she isn't that far from it. She's not a block away. She was not on the pedestal at that point.
