Here is my good friend Karen Mitchell singing the 1954 jazz standard Misty by Errol Garner. What really put this song on the map was the 1971 movie Play Misty For Me in which a female listener, crazy in love with a radio disc jockey played by Clint Eastwood, keeps calling the station and saying to him in her sultry voice, "Play Misty for me." And she turned out to be not just crazy in love but crazy. Today, this song is considered a classic, one that is extremely well covered, and it is the signature song of popular crooner Johnny Mathis.
