After 24 hours, still nobody has tried to defend this as a legitimate, uncorrupted image. 

It is laughably phony. That is not Leavelle's arm. That is 1960s era photoshopping. He wasn't walking along with his hand in Oswald's pants. It got written into the story later to comply with the Jackson photo, which won the Pulitizer Prize. This is photographic backwriting.
