One of the reasons I think Oswald in the doorway is so important to the promulgation of the truth about the JFK assassination is that other aspects of the case, though true, have lost their emotional impact. An example of that is the Single Bullet Theory.

Of course, it is preposterous, but people have been hearing about it for so long that I don't believe it registers very heavily any more with anyone.

For instance, in the leadup to the 50th anniversary, Dr. Cyril Wecht was often featured on television in short segments. Dr. Wecht's whole claim to fame is the preposterousness of the Single Bullet Theory. Note that Dr. Wecht is NOT an Oswald defender. He just says there had to be a second shooter- one from the front. To my ears, he seems to imply that it was Oswald in the 6th floor window and someone else on the Grassy Knoll- in other words, the HSCA line. Again, I say "imply" because he doesn't say outright that it was Oswald on the 6th floor, but he doesn't dispute it either.

So, he is a popular and favored critic of the Warren Report to have on tv because he goes about it so lightly and so politely. He doesn't do a whole lot of damage.

But, my point is that his presentation about the preposterousness of the Single Bullet Theory doesn't have much impact any more. Nobody jumps out of their seat. But, imagine if he said on national television: "The Warren Report can't be true because Lee Harvey Oswald was standing in the doorway when JFK got shot." Now, that would grab some attention.

In fact, they wouldn't invite him on if they thought he was going to say that. And, I believe there is enough lead time on tv that if he tried to say it, they would break away.

And here is proof that the Single Bullet Theory has lost it's emotional impact. It's the episode of Seinfeld called The Magic Loogie in which they made fun of it.

Look at this. They even have Kramer being hit in the right temple, just like JFK (except with a spitball).

They even have their own Zapruder with his camera- and his young secretary.

Jerry took over the role of Arlen Specter with his pointer.

And look who the actor in front is. That's Wayne Knight who had a supporting role in JFK as Jim Garrison's assistant.

Here's the link to it on Youtube.

Mock, mock, mock, mock, mock. That's what this is all about, and it shows that they have succeeded in neutralizing the emotional impact of the Single Bullet Theory. And, that's why I say that we are never going to win with it.

But, we can win with Oswald in the doorway. That hasn't lost its punch. It hasn't lost its emotional impact. And there are other things, for instance, pointing to the George HW Bush connection. And that's because BUSH IS STILL ALIVE. He has got to be the highest-up participant in the JFK assassination who is still living.

But, what else is there? What is on your short list of most powerful pieces of evidence in the case that will still have an emotional impact on the public?
