I am pleased to announce that Professor James Norwood is the new Chairman of the Oswald Innocence Campaign.
This follows the resignation of Professor James Fetzer. As many have suspected, Jim and I had a falling out over the issue of Judyth Baker. Jim has been a staunch and longtime supporter of Judyth's, while I have, admittedly, been one of her detractors. And, the situation became untenable. But, it was Jim's decision to leave; he was not forced out. And I have no doubt that his commitment to Oswald in the doorway is unshakable. I also realize that the OIC benefited greatly by having him at the helm. Because of his great following and popularity, we received, not only attention but also traffic. So, I thank him for that and for the fine job he did MCing and keynote speaking at our JFK conference in Santa Barbara on November 22, 2013.
It's true that we have other Judyth Baker supporters in the OIC, and perhaps others will resign over this, although I don't know, and time will tell. But, I feel very strongly that Judyth's claims have not been objectively substantiated (except for the fact that she did work at the Reilly Coffee Company from May to July 1963) and therefore, they should be rejected. I wouldn't fuss about it if I thought it was a minor issue, but I don't. I think it is a major issue.
So, with thanks to Jim Fetzer and congratulations to James Norwood, I am looking forward to the future with high hopes. Good things are on the horizon for the Oswald Innocence Campaign and for JFK truth. Of that, I am certain.
