This is a picture of Dan Rather describing the Zapruder film on November 25, 1963. He described things that we don't see in the Zapruder film today. Considering it was just the 25th, he may have seen the original, unaltered film.
He said "About 35 yards past the base of the building, right below the window, President Kenney put his right hand up to the side of his head at the level of his eye brow. Just as he did that, he lurched forward. The first shot had hit him. Mrs. Kennedy was looking the other way. Then, Governor Connally turned around to offer aid. His jacket was open; his white shirt exposed; and at that moment, a short clearly hit the Governor in the front."
He then went on to describe the fatal head shot about as we know it.
And as he described, it appeared that he was looking at images. I'm thinking he had film-frames in front of him.
So, the story, at that time, was going to be that there were 3 shots: the first hitting JFK, the second hitting Connally, and the 3rd hitting JFK again fatally.
But, you know what happened. It was discovered that James Tague was grazed by a shot, which meant they had to attribute one of the shots to him. Since that used up a shot, and they couldn't claim that Oswald had time to get off 4 shots, they had to make it that, prior to the fatal head shot, one shot did all the damage to JFK and Connally.
But, where I'm going with this is that Rather said that JFK was hit just 35 yards past the base of the building, from the point below the window. 35 yards isn't very far. Here is Dealey Plaza.
Within the white circle is the freeway sign. Now look at it in the Zapruder film.
Can you see that in the Z-film, the sign is much closer to the intersecion. I put a C for Corner where the intersection is. Compare them again:
The point is that it got cinched up in the Z-film. He reached the sign too soon in the Z-film. He reached it right away. But, the distance was greater than that, and the limo was traveling very slowly. They cut a big swath out of it. They cut out the part that Rather was talking about when JFK got hit the first time, which was in the back.
Look again at the demonstration of what Dan Rather saw in the Zapruder film on November 24, 1963.
We don't see JFK do that in the Z-film that we have. I presume he did it, but they cut it out. The fatal head shot was supposedly taken at a distance of 82 meters which was over 90 yards. The shot that came before was less than that, but the limo was traveling extremely slowly. There is no way a shot of just 35 yards fits into the official story. But, the official story is wrong. I used to think that Dan Rather was lying, but now I know he wasn't. He was seeing the part that we have never seen. Indeed, JFK was hit about 35 yards past the corner. It was a split-second before the Croft photo was taken.
What's JFK doing with his right arm below? Is it possible that he has it up at his temple as Rather demoed?
JFK was hit in the back high on the hill. Regardless of what the missile was, he was hit high on the hill before the limo reached the Kill Zone, as we know it. And he rode the distance from where he was hit to the Kill Zone reacting to having been shot in the back, and all that was cut out of Zapruder film, leaving us this ridiculous cinching up in which the freeway sign was moved up close to the top of the hill, as if Dealey Plaza was much shorter than it was.
Look on the right below at JFK. Doesn't it look like his right hand could be going up to his face, like we see on Rather? His arm seems to be going up to me.
