You know this Croft image is highly manipulated. It's shouting that at you. According to Officialdom, this was before JFK was hit at all. And Jackie isn't even looking at him. So, she isn't aware of anything, right? Then, WHY ISN'T SHE SMILING? She's a politician's wife, and she knows that her job is to wave and smile. He was working the crowd on his side of the street, and she was working the crowd on her side. This was a POLITICAL visit. You get that, right? They were there to secure votes. So, why would she be bearing the expression you see there in the Croft photo? She's neither smiling nor waving. What's the explanation for that? She was not concerned about the sounds. She thought it was motorcycles. So, she would have been in politician's wife mode there. She would not have received the crowd with such an expression. It's got to be an image from another time. 

She would have had an expression like this below. And notice there that her hair wasn't all ironed, Marlo Thomas from That Girl.

Look what they did to her hair. That's paint. They didn't have Photoshop in those days, so they used paint. This is a monstrosity of manipulation, and it was necessitated by the fact that JFK WAS SHOT IN THE BACK!
