Here's an interesting development in my film life. We couldn't get permission from SONY Corporation to use Buck Owens' song, as sung by Christy Mims- and they own both the song and her recording of it- Under Your Spell Again. It's for my next movie, The Pro Bono Watchman starring Mike Gassaway. The song is for a montage in which a father is playing with his 6 year old daughter at the park. Under Your Spell Again would have been perfect for it. But, as the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention, so I set about writing an alternate song for it, and the result is: Pallin' Around With Me. Of course, it will be Christy Mims singing it in the film. I made this as a demo for her.
