The image on the left shows how Oswald looked in the doorway of the Altgens photo originally.
They had a crack team of photo alterers, and there was nothing comparable to them in the private sector or even in the criminal world. No other entity except the government had the time and resources to do this.
They saw Oswald in the picture. They knew it was him. And they should have immediately destroyed the photo and the negative. The fact that they decided to alter it and claim he was someone else was as brazen as brazenness gets. They thought that if they put the top of Lovelady's head on him (using a photo of Lovelady from the 1950s, not realizing that Lovelady had lost a lot of hair since then) that it would do the trick. And you have to admit that it makes a significant difference as you glance from left to right. Nevertheless, there is still so much Oswald there that there is no question that it's him.
But, they thought that would be enough to take care of his face. But, they also recognized that the Russian shirt with the soft collar (American shirts have hard collars that stand up) would give away that he's Oswald. So, that's why they had to put that guy in there behind him to cover up that collar. That was the whole purpose for putting him in. And then, there was Oswald's habitual stance, clasping his hands in front of his body, and even exposing his metal bracelet. Again, they should have torched the thing. But no, they did all that other stuff, inserting the image of Carl Jones from the Phil Willis frame, expanding the cuff of Oswald's sleeve, and sketching a hand in to make it look like the arm there belongs to Carl.
How did they have time to do all that and more? Well, they had 5 hours. The photo was taken at 12:30, and it was first shown at 6:30 PM Eastern time by Walter Cronkite on the CBS Evening News, which was 5:30 PM Central. No, the Altgens photo was not sent out on the wires at 1 PM. That is just another elaborate and Machiavellian lie.
Why did they want so badly to keep the Altgens photo? And why were they willing to take all the risk that was involved? After all, the presumed assassin was standing in the God-damn doorway! It's because of the two Secret Service agents on the follow-up car staring intensely at the doorway of the Texas Book Depository, "the source of the shots." That's what the caption said. However, the doorway wasn't the source of the shots, and if the shots came from the 6th floor above, they would have looked up. So, it makes no sense. But, they had to be looking at something in the doorway, so what were they looking at? Very possibly it was Oswald, as in, "What the hell is he doing there? He was supposed to be kept inside. I hope no God-damn camera catches him. "
It does appear like they could be looking at Oswald, doesn't it? And it's not just them. The man in the Fedora hat in the center of the photo also had his back to the camera and is looking at Oswald. And that's why they inserted the mother and boy with the ridiculous implication that she is effortlessly holding him up because she's SuperWoman. The guy who is visoring his eyes and has no face is Billy Lovelady. They blackened out his face because he was Billy Lovelady. They also whited out the vertical stripes on his shirt. I'll leave you with this: The Fedora Man was most likely FBI Agent James Bookhout, who went on to become the Garage Shooter who impersonated Jack Ruby at the televised spectacle to show the world the killing Oswald.
