It was a year ago that I did my last song with my good friend Paul Popa. It was shortly after this that he was diagnosed with a kind of cancer called neuro-endocrine tumor, and he died on December 17.
And as it turned out, this was one of our best songs ever. We really jammed on this one, the classic Route 66.
