So, how far was Mary Moorman back from the curb? I have heard her say that she was on the curb, but from the imagery, we know that is not true. She was back from the curb. And no one would actually stand on the curb because you can fall off the curb. The curb is perilous. So, she was definitely back from the curb, but how far?

Hmmm. It's hard to say. But, she was at least a foot back from the curb. And that's about what you'd expect because the idea was to be as close as you can but on solid ground, away from the curb. She, Jean, and Brehm all seem to be about the same distance back.

And here's Brehm in Altgens:

Again, I would suggest that Brehm was about a foot back from the curb.

Here's Muchmore:

Again, the three look to be about the same distance from the curb, with Babushka Lady farther back.

Here's another view from Zapruder.

To my eyes, Jean Hill's feet look to be a little farther back than Mary's. And I'd say that Jean's distance from the curb was more like two feet. So, Mary's distance might have been a foot and a half.

That may be the best choice: 1 1/2 feet from the curb for Mary. I'll bring a tape measure so that I can measure it. If I go with 1 1/2 feet, I should be within a few inches for sure.

So, 1 1/2 feet it shall be for her distance from the curb. What about Martin's distance from the curb?

I think he was easily a good 2 feet from the curb, and I don't think he would have gotten any closer than that because nobody would. When you're driving in the street, you don't hug the curb. Plus, the cars were in the inside lane, so Hargis and Martin had that whole outside lane for themselves. So yes, Martin was at least 2 feet away from the curb.

So, the distance between Martin and Mary when they were lined up was 3 1/2 feet, since 2 + 1 1/2 = 3 1/2.

So, we repeated the experiment done previously, this time setting the distance from photographer to subject to exactly 3 1/2 feet.

Also, the camera was held at a height of 5 feet, which was also measured. The result was this:

Holy Cow! You can't see my right arm at all! It's all left arm, plus head and torso and more. The idea that you could limit it to just the right arm is preposterous.

And remember that, presumably, Martin was a little past Mary. This is when Unger said she took her picture, in Nix25:

So, there really is no chance of duplicating BJ Martin in the Moorman photo. It's going to turn out exactly the same on Elm Street as it did in my office. It's a bogus image, and an 8th grade level of Science tells us that.
