This interview of Jim Leavelle is surreal because in it, he states the lie that he pulled back on Oswald trying to protect him, and as he says it, they show the film in which you can see that he didn't do that. He didn't react in any way until after the shot was fired.

Here is when the shot went off, and Leavelle wasn't even looking in "Ruby's" direction.

The same thing happened in this video where you can hear Leavelle waxing on about having pulled on Oswald trying to save him after having seen Ruby coming with his gun, but this time they showed the Beard photo as he spoke, and you can see in the photo that Leavelle was oblivious to "Ruby" and wasn't even looking in his direction at the time of the shot.

That is supposed to be a tiny split-second before the shot went off, .3 second. And if it was just .3 second, then for all practical purposes, you can just say that it is when he fired. And it's obvious that Leavelle is paying no attention to the Shooter. And neither is Oswald, nor is Graves.  It's a very weird photo.

Then, Leavelle told another lie, that "Ruby" tried to get off another shot. But, the man impersonating Ruby, James Bookhout, did not not try to take another shot.

Then Leavelle said that he picked Oswald up with the help of another officer, but how could he do that if he was handcuffed to him? Here is how Leavelle demonstrated it, but how could he do it if his hand and Oswald's hand were attached? If you look at the picture, you can see that his left hand had to be underneath Oswald in order to lift him and support him, but how could he get his hand underneath him and take Oswald's hand along with him without hurting him?

But then, at the end of this video, Leavelle tells the biggest whopper of all.

He said that he went into the Operating Room with Oswald and demanded that the surgeon incise Oswald's skin to release the bullet and give it to him. And he said the surgeon did that. And then he said that he insisted that the surgeon stop what he was doing and carve his initials in the bullet so that no one would doubt that it was the bullet that came out of Oswald. But. Oswald was hovering near death, and a surgeon would never stop to do that. They're rather busy at a time like that, but Leavelle said that the surgeon did it. I trust that you are mature enough to know that it didn't happen. And if it did, we'd have all seen pictures of the bullet with the initials a zillion times.

Here is Oswald's chief surgeon, Dr. Tom Shires, talking about the failed effort to save Oswald, and you can hear him say that "we removed the bullet at the end." Go to 3 minutes and 30 seconds, and you'll hear him say, "It looked like a 38 caliber bullet. We removed the bullet at the end."

That makes Leavelle's whole story a crock. You know, I've got a lot of enemies, and I mean people who would really like to do me harm. But, even they, my enemies, would be hard-pressed to defend Leavelle's ridiculous claim of having forced Oswald's surgeon to carve his initials in the bullet before trying to save his dying patient.

Leavelle was a liar, a pathological liar, and he was a weaver of tall tales. And the whole story of Ruby shooting Oswald in the garage is a tall tale.  The Dallas Police killed Oswald. They did it after the Garage Spectacle. I don't know who pulled the trigger.
