A statement in support of Dr. Alen Salerian

    by Dr. Ralph Cinque

I was asked by Dr. Alen Salerian MD to write something in support of his position on the throat shot, that it was not a metallic bullet, but rather, a flechette that penetrated shallowly and dissolved. And since I do agree with him, I have written the following statement of support.
Dr. Alen Salerian maintains that a non-metallic missile which dissolved within the warmth of the body was shot into JFK's throat. And, he believes the shot was taken by Umbrella Man.
I absolutely agree that the throat shot was not a metallic bullet. If it were, either the bullet would have been found, or an exit wound would have been found, but neither was found. And I know that many people consider the umbrella gun farfetched, and I would too if not for the fact that there is proof that it existed. You only have to read the 20 page testimony of Charles Senseney to the Church Committee in 1975. He was the Defense Department engineer at Ft. Detrick MD who was contracted by the CIA to create the umbrella gun.
His testimony is far more credible than that of Louie Steven Witt, who claimed to be Umbrella Man.
Dr. Salerian wanted my opinion about the theory that what struck JFK in the throat was a shard of glass. That theory subsumes the theory that JFK was shot in the throat, from a great distance, through the windshield.
I don't believe the throat shot traversed the windshield, but even in theory, how likely is it that it would have produced a flying shard of glass? Even then, windshields were made of safety glass, which is designed to break without going anywhere.
What do we know? We know that JFK was shot in the back and in the throat, and that both shots were very shallow, and there was no missile found in either case. We also know that the plotters intended to claim that all the shots came from the rear.
So, we must ask ourselves: how did they expect to get away with shooting JFK in the throat from the front and claim that all the shots came from the rear?  There is only one possibility, which is: that they planned, in advance, to claim that the throat wound was the exit wound for the back shot.
And that means that the location of the throat wound required pin-point accuracy. They needed to hit him at the bottom of his throat. Think about how small a target that is. Would anybody, in his right mind, take such a shot from a great distance and shooting through glass? No way. That shot had to be taken up close.
On the night of November 22, it was decided that the throat shot was the exit wound for the back shot, which thereby, supposedly, established that it traversed Kennedy. That was decided at Bethesda, even though Dr. Perry, in Dallas, had described the throat wound as an entrance wound. But, since Oswald was said to be the lone gunman, the story required that it not be an entrance wound. And, that's why the military brass would not let Dr. Humes and team dissect either wound. Think about how easy it would have been to dissect JFK's body and find out, first hand, whether the two wounds were connected. But, they didn't do it, and that is a smoking gun in itself.
So, what was the purpose of the throat shot? Well, Charles Senseney said that the umbrella gun was designed to be used with darts that were "coated" with poison. "Coated" was the word that he used. He did not specify what the poison was. He said that was not his department. But, he said it could knock out a junk yard dog in 2 seconds.
So, getting more poison into Kennedy was a reason for shooting the dart into his neck. And I say "more" because I know very well that the back shot also delivered a poison dart. We can see the evidence of that poisoning in the Zapruder film: the way Kennedy's muscles seized up, and he was unable to put his arms down.

It's also very visible that he underwent mental derangement. He was unable to speak or communicate in any way, and his cognition and awareness collapsed. JFK was a basket case, even though his physical injuries were relatively minor.
In the Z-film, JFK was unable to put his arms down. That's what you are seeing here.  And, it is pathology that cannot be accounted for by the relatively minor physical trauma he had received to that point.
But, the second purpose of the throat shot was to create an exit wound for the back shot. I'm not saying that they planned in advance to claim the whole Single Bullet Theory, as we know it, meaning that one bullet causing 7 wounds in 2 men. But, they did plan to claim that the back bullet traveresed Kennedy and came out his neck. That has to be true because it was the only way to remove the frontal shot from the story.
Finally, what about the hole in the windshield? I suspect that they decided in advance to proffer an alternate story for the throat shot; one that was false. And: it's always safe to proffer an alternate story that is false. Because: if it's false, it can never withstand scrutiny, and it can never hold up. In a word: it can never be a threat. And that's why it's safe.
The important thing was to keep people far away from the truth. So, if you get them fussing about a hole in the windshield, it will consume them and keep them occupied.
I'll state again that the throat shot did not traverse the windshield, and it was not a metallic bullet. It was a flechette that dissolved upon entering JFK's throat. That is not in doubt because there was no bullet. No bullet, no bullet, no bullet. And there was no bullet in his back either.
