You know how Trump nixed Obama's peace deal with Iran and re-inflamed the situation to the brink of war. And I deplore him for doing  that. But, get ready: because if Biden wins, it's likely that Trump's peace deal with the Taliban will be similarly nixed.

McMaster is making the rounds plugging his book, and yesterday, he responded to the Trump announcement that U.S. forces ill be reduced to 2500 early next year. Keep in mind, the peace deal requires that U.S. forces be completely gone by April.

McMaster claims to know what the Afghan people want. He said, "The Afghan people don't want this" the peace deal. He also claims to know what Taliban negotiators are saying, "We beat the world's greatest superpower." He refers to power-sharing between the Taliban and the Afghan government, the presumptive goal of the talks, resulting in "mass executions in the soccer stadium every other Saturday and every other girls school bulldozed?"

I suspect that if they're going to bulldoze girl's schools, they'll bulldoze all of them. And even the UN admitted that the U.S. and Afghan governments killed more civilians than the Taliban.

McMasters: You bombed 9 wedding parties in Afghanistan, knowingly killing women, children, the frail and the aged. There is an investigation going on currently by the International Criminal Court of U.S. war crimes in Afghanistan.

Then, McMasters claimed to know that "Al-Qaida and the Taliban are completely intertwined."

Of course, he didn't provide a speck of evidence for any of his claims. And amazingly, he didn't say a word about what the result would be if we did nix the peace deal with the Taliban.

Note that if this were 1973, McMaster would be saying the same things about the peace deal with the North Vietnamese.

Actually, Trump tweeted late last night that he is going to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan by Christmas, and God damn it, he should do it.  Because: he may lose the election, and it's looking increasingly worse for him, but if all U.S. troops are out before he leaves office, then it will be MUCH harder for Biden to send them back.

Yes, that's what he should do: get every last American out before he leaves office. And the beauty of it is that if by chance he wins, he can just proceed according to the schedule, which is to be out by April. But, if he loses, then he's got until January 19 to withdraw every American and shutter all the bases. I am going to write to him about this.
