James Murphy The reason was that they were going to be telling lies about Oswald, and they needed Marina to support those lies. And they weren't going to ask her to lie or even pay her to lie because then, they'd have had to kill her. So instead, it involved intense brainwashing to get her to believe the lies- on some level. I feel sorry for her. I have never met her, but I have a feeling that she has lived a life of inner turmoil. Way deep inside, she has got to know that the things she told the Warren Commission about Lee were not true. And she has to know that she contributed to the railroading of Oswald more than any other witness. I know he wasn't perfect and far from it, but what she did to him was far worse than anything he did to her. And he loved her. I get the feeling that his family meant everything to him. So, what she did was awful, and I'm thinking she has got to be haunted by it because, deep inside, she does know the truth.
