Oswald in the doorway: the blog of the Oswald Innocence Campaign, by Ralph Cinque

 The fact that the Garage Shooter used his middle finger is like a 4-alarm blast telling us that something is terribly wrong with the official story of the Oswald shooting. Why would Jack Ruby use his middle finger? He never even shot a gun before in his life, that we know of.   And the gun in this case was a very small, snub-nosed Colt Cobra, for which there was no place to put his index finger except along the barrel, exposing it to the hot, fiery gases that emit from the cylinder gap. One would have to be crazy to shoot that gun with one’s middle finger.

And why in the Jackson photo is the Shooter’s middle finger sticking out so far? You wrap your finger around the trigger. It’s not going to stick out.  They did that because they wanted it to be seen. They thought that Ruby had lost his right index finger and would have had to use his middle finger. But actually, Ruby had lost most of his left index finger. So, he had no reason to use the middle finger of his right hand.

The middle finger on the trigger is only seen in the Beers and Jackson photos, and they were both staged. They were not taken during the televised spectacle, but rather, beforehand, when there was no shot. I presume there was a shot during the spectacle, but it was just a blank, and Oswald was shot for real afterwards. And I presume that Bookhout used his index finger to fire the blank. Why not? They already got the pictures they wanted.

Ruby’s lawyers were aware that the photos showed the middle finger. They asked Ruby if he knew why he used his middle finger, and he said he didn’t know anything. He did not remember shooting Oswald. He only remembered getting down there, being jumped by the cops and not knowing why, and then being taken up to the 5^th floor where he was told that he shot Oswald. So, he couldn’t tell them anything about how it went down.

So, why didn’t his lawyers consider that what Ruby remembered was exactly what happened? Why didn’t they consider that the Dallas Police were lying, that they were framing Ruby after they killed Oswald?  

The answer is that his lawyers suffered from a common mental illness that I call Americana. It’s the belief that terrible things are done by the police in the Soviet Union and Communist China, but not in the United States. His lawyers didn’t have anyone else to go to but Ruby- unless they went to the Dallas Police. And they just didn’t have the capacity to do it or even see it, that the Dallas Police killed Oswald. All they had to do was look closely at the images of the Garage Shooter, and they would have seen that he wasn’t Ruby- and it’s all anyone has to do today. Then, all they had to do was listen to the lies that the Dallas Police told, such as Jim Leavelle, who said that he saw Ruby coming in and recognized him, and that he reacted by yanking on Oswald to get him behind him to protect him (which he clearly didn’t do) and then he thumped Ruby on his left shoulder with his right hand (which he clearly didn’t do). The films clearly show that Leavelle deliberately looked the other way, to avoid looking at the Shooter, and did not begin to respond to “Ruby” until after the shot was fired. Then, Leavelle said that he and another man, whom he couldn’t remember, picked Oswald up and carried him into the police station. So, that meant that there was an object consisting of two men carrying another man. Shouldn’t that have been seen considering how big it was? And how was he able to pick up Oswald if he was handcuffed to him at the wrist?

Some people have promoted the lie that Ruby used his middle finger because it was the mark of a Mafia hit. But, that is ridiculous. First, it’s not even true. And second, Ruby wasn’t even in the Mafia. All the stories you have heard about that are lies. And those lies were invented by the same people who were behind Oswald’ s and JFK’s murders. And they were very Machiavellian. They knew, in advance, that some people were going to challenge their story about how Oswald was killed. So, they wrote the alternate story themselves, making Ruby not just guilty, but super-guilty, in which he had a long criminal record in the Mafia as a hit man, pimp, and bruiser. They inserted Ruby not only into the Oswald shooting but also the JFK shooting, that he delivered guns to Dealey Plaza and watched the “fireworks” from Houston Street.  All of these were utter lies. Ruby was not in the Mafia.  His nightclubs, including the Carousel Club and the Vegas Club, were not Mafia nightclubs. You can watch Dan Rather interview Ruby’s magician and MC Bill DeMar, who was asked by Rather if Mafia types ever hung out there, and he said no, and acted surprised. He said it was actually a pretty wholesome place- with no gangster types.

There were lies galore about Ruby. One of them involved a Congressional letter about a Jack Rubenstein who was working for Richard Nixon in 1945. Was it the Jack Ruby of fame? No! It wasn’t any Jack Rubenstein. The whole thing was made up.  The letter included a zip code, but in 1945, there were no zip codes. Zip codes weren’t started until 1960. So, it was just more horse shit to concoct a false narrative about Ruby. You could write his real bio on the back of a cocktail napkin: He was born and raised in Chicago in a poor Jewish family.  He served 2 years in the Army Air Force from 1943 to 1945, in which he worked as an airplane mechanic. After the war, he returned to Chicago and worked with his grifter brothers in their various marketing schemes.  And then he moved to Dallas in 1947 to help his sister Eva with her nightclub. He fell in love with that business and with Dallas, and he stayed there doing it even after Eva moved to California. But, she eventually returned to Dallas, and he put her in charge of the Vegas Club. He made a few trips over the years. He visited a friend in Vegas who worked at a casino. And he spent a week in Cuba after being invited by a friend who worked at a casino there.  He was never a gunrunner to Cuba. He said that he once considered buying Army surplus jeeps and selling them to the Cuban government, but his lawyer talked him out of it. He never went to Chicago again. He was never involved with the Chicago Mob. There is a rumor that as a teenage boy he was an errand-runner for Al Capone.  But, Ruby never claimed that, and he would have said so if it were true. There is nothing bankable about that claim. And even if there were, it wouldn’t even matter because it never developed into anything. It’s just more horse shit.

By making Ruby into a gangster with a long criminal history, it covered up the truth that he was completely innocent. He was framed and innocent. He was drugged, framed, and innocent.

And they just got it wrong about his index finger. It was a production error. As a filmmaker, I know all about them.  They thought that him not having a right index finger was gold. What a stroke of luck to use that to pin it on him. But then, it blew up in their faces when the found out that it was his left index finger- not his right. And the same thing happened when people started noticing the discrepancy between the Shooter’s light socks and Ruby’s jet-black socks. So, they had to concoct the story that they changed his underwear. At a City Jail where defendants weren’t given any clothes at all and weren’t held past arraignment?

Jack Ruby was innocent! He was framed for shooting Oswald, but he was too dumb and too drugged-up to realize it. And they kept him drugged up via Dr. Louis Joylan West, the CIA’s “Maestro of Mind Control.”
