Oswald in the doorway: the blog of the Oswald Innocence Campaign, by Ralph Cinque

In the OIC, we have been discussing the image of what I call Stocky Oswald. 

And, I have taken a similar image from the film Four Days in November by David Wolper and put it alongside it.

I know the quality of the image on the right is poor. I just stopped the video, hit Print Screen, and pasted it into Paint. It's not the exact same image, since he was closer to, and more concealed by, the door. However, it is definitely the same situation and taken within a second of the other. 

But, the comparison of the two proves that an "aspect ratio" adjustment was done to the image on the left because in it, Oswald's head is wider and shorter. On the right, it is narrower and longer. You can put a ruler to it if you want. 

Let's consider other differences. Obviously, on the right, his head was casting a lot of shadow over his t-shirt. It had to be the same on the left, but they got rid of the shadow, flooding it with light. On the left, there is a white line breaking up the door which is completely missing on the right. The sparkling white of the t-shirt on the left was added. As Dennis Cimino said, it makes it look like a Tide commercial. 

I also applied some fill light of my own below because I wanted to demonstrate that the brown swirl that we see on Oswald's forehead on the left was not present. 

They photoshopped a lot of intense "color" in the stocky image (and I put color in quotes because it is a black and white photo; but they intensified, emboldened the blacks and whites). And for some reason, that brown swirl got added in the process. 

I really don't know if it was done on purpose or by accident. It was not in the original picture, and it was not on his forehead. One fool tried to say that it was a clump of sweaty hair stuck to his forehead. That's a good one. We all can use a laugh. It is a highly altered image.
