We can make an analogy to building a roof. Have you ever done it? I've participated a few times, but not as the foreman. If you think it's as simple as nailing down some shingles and walking away, you are mistaken. It has to be done right; with precision. Otherwise, it turns out bad; a disaster.
And do you know who the foreman was on this floor-laying project? It was Bill Shelley. BILL SHELLEY? Bill Shelley worked in military intelligence during WW2. When the CIA was formed in 1947, he joined. After working briefly for defense contractors after the war, he wound up at the parent company of the TSBD. Now, you tell me why a guy with his background would want to spend his life distributing books for little kids: Dick and Jane readers. But regardless of that, what about any of that qualified him to be a construction foreman? And why don't we see signs of such activity on the 6th floor, with scraps and remnants and piles of boards to be installed and machines to do the job? Here is OIC Chairman Larry Rivera:
Hello Jim, Lance and all,
Not only is evidence of LHO shooting from the "snipers nest" nonexistent, there is no evidence of any refurbishing of the floors of the 6th floor of the TSBD. I have looked high and low for photos of the following items which would have been required for the job claimed by the WC and accepted by all as fact:
1. Work benches and/or horses
2. Electric Saws
3. Plywood, lots of plywood - Note that well after the fact, there is a video of Dan Rather doing a report from the 6th floor and walking past what appears to be a stack of plywood. But, photos and video taken that particular day shows nothing of the sort.
4. Miscellaneous tools such as squares, hammers, hand saws, jig saws, levels, etc.
5. Wood scraps from removed flooring, ready to be carted downstairs to make room to work.
We do see stacks of boxes all around, but would it not have been "convenient" to take pictures of the actual work being done that day? When they broke for lunch, and as they were not expecting a Presidential assassination to take place, what I envision is half hammered plywood with hammers lying around, saws, etc., wide open spaces where the old plywood would have already been removed, and visible signs showing "CAUTION - MEN AT WORK - DANGER!", (Hello OSHA!), where they would have been measuring the space to install the new planks. Or perhaps use the old plank as a template to cut the new one using a couple of wooden horses or work benches. And what about the old wood scraps that had supposedly already been removed? There would have been a huge pile of refuse. We see none of this! Furthermore, as James DeLuzia writes in the short paper attached, this was not as simple a job as we are led to believe, which ordinary non-skilled, minimum wage workers would have been able to accomplish, and where professionals would have yielded much better results. The story is full of holes, no pun intended. Furthermore, if you look closely at CE510 and 512 you will notice the flooring was not square to the outer walls of the building, they were at strange angles. This was not an easy job!!! Only professional carpenters would have been able to accomplish this type of work.
If anyone receiving this email knows of any photos showing what is mentioned above, I would love to see them so that I can but this one to bed and not bring it up again!
Larry
And what follows is a reply to Larry from OIC member Jay Knowles:
Larry,
As a professional carpenter having built and renovated dozens of homes I can verify what you have said, and appreciate you posting the pictures of the existing old flooring...it is in fact not a simple job and would require carpenters running the job with several years experience at least. What a great observation that you have made which has been in front of our noses all this time! So now we are apparently faced with the Dan Rather footage having been faked by the killers........ by constructing a fake "plywood installation worksite" !!!!...I cant help thinking that Jack Valentis role may have been to oversee the film faking, such as the Dan Rather footage and many others after the assassination...my personal opinion...as he stuck like glue to LBJ after the coup.
Cheers, Jay
