It's amazing how no one listens to Mary Moorman. She said, from the beginning that she took her photo at the time of the first shot, and she has never wavered from that. But, people just ignore her.

The Moorman photo was taken at the time of the last shot, but was it slightly before or slightly after? I say slightly before. Which is a better match?

In 315, they were both in motion. He was slamming towards her, and, by reflex, she moved her head out of the way, and then she brought it back. She ducked! You can see it in the film.

They don't seem to be in motion in the Moorman photo, so I think it was taken right before the fatal shot: about 312. Still, it was very close to the final shot, and Mary's photo was taken at the time of the first shot, by which she meant the throat shot. But, was it before or after the throat shot?

In this interview on November 22nd, Mary said that her picture showed "the President slumping and Jackie leaning towards him." She was referring to her real picture. It must have been a split-second BEFORE the throat shot. I say that, first, because in other interviews she said it. And second, because we know that JFK's response to being shot in the neck was not to slump but to rapidly raise his hands to his neck in a panic.

So, could this have been what Mary shot? It is the last image we have of JFK before he disappears behind the sign; frame 207.

So, Jackie is definitely turned facing him, and he seems to have his hand over his face, although I'm sure that's bogus. However, from there it jumps to 212. I say that because even when I slow the video down to 25% speed, that no matter how many times I try, I can't get it to progress less than that. You try it. Be sure to set the speed to .25 by clicking on the white gear.

So, they must have sped up those frames. If a frame usually lasted for 1/18th second, they must have sped those frames up to perhaps 1/50 second.

Zapruder frame 300 is most often used to correspond to the Moorman photo, but it can't possibly be true.

If Mary had taken her photo then, the Kennedys would have been centered in it, and they are not centered in the Moorman photo. Plus, the Moorman photo was taken from a diagonal angle from behind, and that is crystal. Furthermore, JFK would barely have been visible in Mary's photo if she took it then. Can't you see that Jackie is blocking Mary's view of JFK?

And you can't go further in the Zapruder film to find the Moorman moment because Mary never turns in the Z-film. She continues facing the street directly, that is, squarely, which means she couldn't have taken the Moorman photo.

That would NOT capture the Moorman photo. But, it may explain why they felt compelled to take BJ Martin out of the Moorman photo because you notice that we don't see him in this frame.

So, Mary definitely did not take the Moorman photo, and there is no reason to doubt that she took her photo at the time of the first shot, since she said so. And since Mary described what she captured as just him slumping and Jackie turned towards him, it was probably a split-second before he was hit in the throat. But, he was still showing distress from having been shot in the back. And that is what necessitated replacing her photo. If it had come a split-second later where he was reacting to being shot in the throat, that would have been fine. But, it must have come ever so slightly before that.
