Hair changes over time. In fact, one's hair looks different from one picture to the next even over a short period of time- let alone 6 years. 

These are all images of Michael J. Fox over just a few years time. 

The idea that Billy Lovelady's hair could have been captured exactly the same with the passage of 6 years is preposterous and absurd. 

It would be preposterous and absurd even Lovelady wasn't a rapidly balding young man, but the fact is: he was a rapidly balding young man. 

Fact: they moved that hairline of Young Lovelady over to Doorman, and they did it without realizing that Lovelady had lost a lot of hair. The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, which is typical of government work.
