An idiot named Steve Memery, who is from the UK, can't see a very simple thing, and he is stubbornly fighting me about it on Facebook.

In the altered image of Stocky Oswald, this one:

there is a brown swirl on his forehead. You can see it above and on the right below. Steve maintains that it is a clump of sweaty, matted hair that is stuck to Oswald's forehead- from the sweat. He says it's matted and glued.

But, it isn't hair; it is really just an abrasion. Oswald got scraped there. You can see it on the left. It's not hair; he was scraped all the the way up to his hairline. The brown swirl on the right is how the abrasion came out in the altered photo. It's not matted hair. There is some fine, scraggly hair there nearby, but the wide, blunt, crescent-shaped brown swirl is not matted hair. It is an abrasion.

You can see the abrasion faintly in both the right and left images, and in many other images of Oswald. The reason it looks so dark in the center image is because they did color enhancement to that photo, and the abrasion got artificially darkened. It's an aberration. He didn't look that way at the time- or at any time. It is a photographic anomaly. It is certainly not hair stuck to his forehead.
