If Oswald knew that they were going to kill Kennedy that day and that they were going to frame him for it, he wouldn't have sought to protect himself by lying to Junior Jarman. He would have sought to protect himself by staying away, steering clear of the place. How were they going to frame him if he wasn't there?

So, all he had to do in order to beat them was to stay home- or to go anywhere but there.

And as for the idea that he had to show up because otherwise they were going to kill his family- that is nuts. Completely and totally nuts.

You know, some ideas are so ridiculous that you need to reject them just for being ridiculous, and it's true of that idea. What the hell would they need to kill his babies for? They were bad guys, but they weren't Attila the Hun.

The conspirators were not going to kill his family. Why? Because they weren't insane, that's why. They were evil bastards, but they weren't insane.

If Oswald didn't show up, I figure they probably had an alternate patsy waiting in the wings, and it may have been Billy Lovelady. Billy had been convicted of stealing weapons from the Air Force, and he did time in prison. They could have said that he was resentful and disgruntled about that, and so he killed Kennedy. Notice how they kept referring to him as "Billy Nolan Lovelady". That's assassin nomenclature.

But, as for Oswald, if he didn't show up, and they realized that he knew plenty, I figure they probably would have killed him, just to silence him. But not his family. Why kill them?

No, it is a ridiculous idea, and we should just dismiss it.

So, what Oswald should have done, if he knew what was going to happen, was stay home or stay elsewhere. But, even that wasn't enough. As Dr. Eli Martin Schotz has expressed so eloquently, Oswald would have had the legal and moral obligation to try to save Kennedy. And that meant going to authorities.

Now, I realize that there were people in the FBI, the Secret Service, and the Dallas Police who were corrupt. But, not all of the people who worked for the FBI, the Secret Service, and the Dallas Police were corrupt, and he needed to find someone to go to who was not corrupt. There are any number of ways he could have done it. For instance, what if he were making his way home from work one day, and he encountered a policeman while he was waiting for the bus. Chances are very great that that policeman, working his beat, was not in on the assassination of JFK. It would have been a start. And he could express his concern for his safety and the need to be careful and discreet about who is told. Again, it would have been a start. If he thought the whole Dallas office of the FBI was corrupt, he could have called the FBI office in a faraway city, one that probably had no involvement in the plot. Those are just two examples, but there are plenty more.

But, let's say he tried things like that but saw that Kennedy's motorcade was not called off. Well, he could have showed up in Dealey Plaza in time for it- but without going into the TSBD. He could have kept himself in view in broad daylight on the street- and therefore unframable. And then, he could have approached one or more policeman on the street and told them what he knew, that there were assassins perched in or on top of buildings waiting to shoot Kennedy. And if that accomplished nothing, and it was 12:29, and Kennedy was coming down Houston St. about to turn onto Elm to enter Dealey Plaza, then Oswald could have just gone out into the middle of the street and held his hands high in the air with his fingers spread apart (to show that he was not armed), and he could have yelled, "Stop!" "Danger!" "Gunmen!"

What were they going to do? Run him over? Shoot him dead? I'll tell you what they would have done. They would have stopped. That's what they would have done. They would have brought the motorcade to a halt. And that would have brought the assassination to a halt. It would have been all over before it started.

I really wish that Oswald HAD known about the assassination plot because I really do believe that he would have done that. And why shouldn't I believe that he would have done that? I would have done it, and most of the people I know would have done it. Wouldn't you have done it? If you knew Kennedy was about to be slaughtered in the street, wouldn't you have done it?  Oh, how unfortunate it is that Oswald didn't know. If only he did.
