It seemed like a historic discovery for a while- a very short while.

For 51 years, they've been claiming that the Altgens6 photo was wired to the world at 1:03 PM- but without any proof. They claimed there was coding included with the caption which proved it, but they didn't have the actual fax-photo for Altgens6.

Until recently, that is when Robin Unger found it for sale on EBAY.

But right away, I pointed out that it referred to Kennedy being hit with a "shot" instead of "shots". And, the caption read that the "Secret Service agents were looking from where shot came from". Could Carl E. Linde's writing have been that bad? In fact, the caption included doesn't appear in any newspaper that we know of. So, the implication is that every single newspaper in the country decided to rewrite it.

It was an elaborate fakery, and it's no wonder that it was pulled off the market.
