My Stretch of Texas Ground has swept the Mabig Film Festival in Augsburg, Germany, winning Best Actor, Male (Junes Zahdi), Best Actor, Female (Hailley Lauren), Best Director (Erich Kemp), Best Feature and Best Drama.

I am especially pleased about Hailley's win because her character, Carrie Haladin, underwent the most emotional upheaval of any in the film, and watching her go into character on set was an amazing experience for me.

I have added the latest laurels to our website, and I created a new section just for Hailley to acknowledge her win. So, please take a look at it.

I don't know what the record is, but I have to think we are in very rarefied air in the number of awards we have won. It means a lot of me not just because of the art, but because of the message of the film, being the first and only anti-war movie of the 21st century. And regardless of a person's politics, to lament the killing of hundreds of thousands of human beings, to acknowledge the tragedy and catastrophe of it, can never be wrong.
