Talk about good filmmaking, if you haven't seen this little piece about the Christmas Truce during World War 1, you really should. It's enough to bring you to tears. And it's a true story, where British and German soldiers emerged from their trenches on Christmas Eve to wish each other Merry Christmas, sing carols, trade clumsiness speaking each other's language, and even playing soccer. Oh, what a terrible war WW1, and so unnecessary. One guy gets killed in Sarejevo, then 40 million had to die because of it. Hardly anyone wanted that war. It was just people in high places who wanted it. And, if there had been no World War 1, it's very likely there would have been no World War 2. So, watch this little piece about the Christmas truce, because I think you will be moved.
