Let's assume that the image on the right is nearly the same as what Jackie is doing on the left.

The difference would be that her hand could not be resting on the ledge on the left since it's higher, reaching the top of the frame, and it's extended farther to where her fingers are beyond the glass. But, those are pretty small differences. 

Notice on the right that Jackie is turned in that direction. It's where she is facing and looking. But, on the left, her head isn't turned that way, nor is her body. Notice on the right how you can see the twist in her spine which orients her that way. But, on the left her shoulders look square. Her gaze seems to be straight ahead. She looks to be on the beam. It's very different from what we see on the right. Now look at the whole image:

I want you to notice that her left arm and JFK's right arm are on opposite sides of the car. They could not be farther apart than they are, under the circumstances. And the photographer is on JFK's side of the car. So, why would her forearm look as large or larger than his to the camera?

Doesn't her distant forearm look rather massive in size under the circumstances? It looks as big as his, doesn't it? Here's the whole picture.

So, the photographer is on JFK's side of the car, and if her left arm is hanging out the window on the opposite side of the car, why would her forearm appear so large to the camera? Notice that the forearms of the people in back look proportionately smaller because they are farther away. But, her forearm looks awfully big to be on the distant side of the car. 

But, let's go back to the original collage.

Assuming they are sitting in the same position, then Jackie's upper arm had to veer towards the door in order to take her forearm there. So, why wouldn't her upper arm be showing on the left? She would have to extend it forward and leftward, as we see her doing on the right. Wouldn't that put it in visibility? Could she do it any other way than what we see on the right? Where is her left upper arm on the left?

I don't see her left upper arm at all. The implication is that she isn't extending her upper arm at all. She hasn't extended it forward. Because, if she had extended it forward, it would be in view. We would clearly see it. But, where is her upper arm in the picture? I take it as being completely out of view. She isn't extending it at all. 

So, if her upper arm is back, but her forearm is reaching for that window, what is going on? Let's do an experiment.

In this first photo, I just reached for the window (which is represented by the box of envelopes) in a natural way. And I think it's pretty close to what we saw Jackie doing earlier. 

I realize that I didn't turn the way she did, but that was deliberate. And, the reason is that in the other photo, she wasn't turned.

JFK's head is turned to his right, but her head looks like it's in perfect profile. It certainly isn't turned left. She does not seem to have her head turned at all. But obviously, my upper arm shows and hers doesn't.

 Now, what you see on me is what I would expect to see on her, but we don't. So, I'll try to duplicate what we see on her. 

Now, my hand is, admittedly, lower, but that's not too important. The idea is that we've got this forearm projecting forward and up but with no visible upper arm. Here's what I was doing from straight ahead. 

So, the implication is that Jackie was sitting something like that. But, would she do that? She was not sitting like that at the other time.  

Because if she were sitting like she was on the right, then her upper arm would have been visible, and it's not. Plus, again, she was turned leftward, but on the left, she is not turned. You can see her right shoulder plainly, and it is not turned to her left, where it would be swung forward. She looks square. Yet, she's got her left hand behind the glass while the upper arm that took it there is nowhere in sight.  But, how could she reach it without the length of her upper arm contributing? Mine doesn't reach without extending my upper arm.

I NEED to extend my upper arm to have the length to get to the "window". But, if Jackie were extending her upper arm, we'd see it. It would be in view.
