It is a heavily photoshopped image, and they were splashing so much color around that they lost control of it. This is just a color anomaly that got missed. It was very small in the context of the whole picture, and they just missed it.
Maybe they thought that nobody was going to look at it that closely, but THEY should have looked at it that closely.
