So, what were they trying to cover up here? 

Was it that his hair in back was long and curly and obviously different from the guy in Altgens? Or was it that he had a lot higher hairline in back? I don't know, but I have to think it had to do with corroborating the way he looks in the Altgens photo. Why else would they mess with the back of his head?
