After the official Twitter account of the Olympics tweeted praise for an Iranian marksman who won the gold medal in the air pistol men’s final, they were blasted by various Iranians who claimed that the marksman, Javad Foroughi, is a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which has been designated by the United States as a terrorist organization.
RC: You dumb plucks. Just because the U.S. government says the Iran Revolutionary Guard is a terrorist organization, you believe them? I've got news for you: the U.S. government is a terrorist organization. After 9/11, the U.S. government went out and killed over 3 million people in illegal wars, and that death toll is according to Brown University in Rhode Island. The wars on Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Syria- they were all war crimes by the U.S. regime; crimes against humanity.
