Oswald in the doorway: the blog of the Oswald Innocence Campaign, by Ralph Cinque

The other day I responded to one of those tabloid lists where you click through pages to learn about something. I don't usually fall for them, but this one was entitled, "10 conspiracies that people still believe in".  That intrigued me, so I clicked on it. 

First, note what it did not not include. It did not include 9/11. 

9/11 truth is the biggest truth movement in the world. They've got professional organizations of people who endorse it. There are 9/11 truth organizations in every country in the world. It's huge. And yet, they didn't include it. It goes to show how afraid they are of it. 

However, it did include JFK. And what it said about JFK was that there are still people who believe that Oswald didn't act alone, that he was put up to killing Kennedy, and probably by the Mafia. 

It is SO stupid. First, NOBODY who wanted Kennedy dead would have sought Oswald to do it.  Oswald was not an assassin, and he wasn't even a marksman. Oswald wasn't remotely qualified. He practically flunked his last marksmanship test in the Marines. And that was in 1959.  After leaving the Marines, the only shooting that he did was to go rabbit-hunting with a shotgun in Russia, and his Russian buddies said he stunk at it. Why would anyone think that Oswald was up to being the sniper to kill Kennedy? No one would think that for a New York second. There was no basis to think that. 

And why would Oswald do it when he admired Kennedy? And since there is no evidence that he was paid to shoot Kennedy, what motivation was there for him to do it? If the Mafia asked you to kill Kennedy, would you do it? So, what reason is there to think that Oswald would have done it, even if the Mafia asked him to? 

This whole idea of Oswald shooting Kennedy for the Mafia is so ridiculous, it's astounding that anyone would proffer it or believe it. And the fact that some people do believe it only proves that average intelligence has sunk to an appalling low.  

But, the most significant thing about this ridiculous contention is the fear that it exposes: the Establishment's fear of Oswald innocence to the point that they can't even admit that there are people who champion his innocence. Instead, they brandish the lie that everyone agrees that he did it. They can't even acknowledge that anyone disputes that he did it, and they can't take the chance of letting those people be heard.

So, 9/11 truth and JFK truth (which is Oswald innocence) are like Chernobyl or Fukishima, where all they can do it try to contain it and isolate it. They can't get rid of it. They can't make it go away. They just hope to keep it under wraps, pretending that it doesn't exist, as they kick the can down the road.
