On the left is an image of Oswald in his t-shirt at the first lineup, but it was altered. His t-shirt was stretched, torn, and tattered. You can see how it really was on the right.
Why did they do it? I think it was because the t-shirt on the Man in the Doorway of the Altgens photo looks like the t-shirt on the right, and it was the t-shirt on the right. But, what I am asking you to dwell on right now is just the fact that they did it. It was criminal to do it. It was an obstruction of justice. It was tampering with evidence because Oswald was being tried in the Court of Public Opinion, and images were evidence in the case. It was a direct attempt to mislead people about material evidence.
They couldn't get around to altering every single image in the case. The image on the right fell through the cracks. And it's not that they didn't expect that to happen. But, they didn't expect anyone to notice. They didn't expect people to consciously scrutinize the images. An inconsistency like that they expected to get away with because they don't expect people to be that observant. They expect people to be dull and obtuse.
But, every time they did a thing like that, they were, in effect, killing Kennedy all over again. An artist with his paintbrush was blowing Kennedy's head off, once again. When you aid and abet killers, you are a killer.
The depth and the range of the evil that followed the JFK assassination began right away and continued for years and decades and to this very day. The evil abounds even now, and frankly, I don't know that it has ever been worse than it is today. My thanks to Aaron Peterson for sending me the image on the left.
