So how did Ruby end up getting jumped upon if he did nothing.

  Blong: I told you: it isn't Ruby at the televised spectacle. You can plainly see it wasn't Ruby. The short, pudgy Garage Shooter was James Bookhout. Ruby got to the garage earlier, the better part of an hour earlier, and that's when he was jumped. They were waiting for him. The whole thing was planned. They got Karen Carlin to implore him for money, which got him to Western Union. That was only a block and a half away. Then, they got people to gather at the ramp. There was no reason for them to be there because it was an INCOMING ramp. Who were they expecting to arrive? No one. They were there to attract Ruby. They got drugs into him that morning. Ruby himself wrote that he took more than his usual drugs that morning. He didn't say why, although, maybe he did. His writing was edited. But, I suspect that one of the drugs he was given was scopolamine, which is known as the zombie drug because it obliterates a person's free will. Then, all they had to do was have someone in the WU office say to him, "Did you notice all those people hanging around the police ramp? You ought to go check it out." So then, he walked down there, even though he had his dog in his car. And then when he got there, someone just had to nudge to go down. Just a little head gesture. "Go on down there. Check it out." Ruby was high as a kite. He was tripping out. You know how staggering drunks can be coaxed to do things they wouldn't normally do. It's because their mind isn't working right. That was the case with Ruby except it wasn't alcohol; it was drugs. So, the intoxicated was steered, guided, and manipulated to go to that ramp and descend it. This was 45 minutes to an hour before the televised spectacle. Once he got down there, he was jumped by the cops who were there waiting for him. And remember what Dr. Fred Bieberdorf said, that at 9:45 AM, police cleared out the garage. There were already reporters there, and it's not surprising since the jail transfer was scheduled for 10. But, they were told that they had to leave, and they weren't allowed back until just a few minutes before the televised spectacle. If you watch the KRLD film, you can see them piling in just a few minutes before. So, they emptied the garage at 9:45 in order to facilitate the capture of Ruby, who was pounced upon as soon as he got there for having done nothing. Ruby was baffled. He had no idea why police were jumping him. He said during it, "What are you doing? I'm Jack Ruby. You know me. I'm no criminal." Why would he say that if he knew that he shot Oswald? Didn't he know that police frown on that kind of thing? So, they dragged him up to the 5th floor and told him that he shot Oswald. And in his impaired mental state, he was helpless to fight them. Again: think staggering drunk. And that is where he was, on the 5th floor in his underclothes, when the televised spectacle went down.
