None of the images of Robert Groden can be trusted. He was hired by the HSCA to vouch for Doorman being Lovelady. That was his job; his mission. It was what he was paid to do. He took this image of Lovelady in 1976, and you notice that Lovelady's head is turned to the right. We're seeing his left ear at that angle, and we're not seeing his right ear at all. And by doing that, it obscures his protruding ears. To some extent, it hides it.
But, you can still tell by comparing him to other men whose heads are turned to the right. I don't know who the man at the upper right is, but the man at the lower left is Rock Hudson. And the man at the lower right is Clark Gable. OH wait! I just noticed something! Clark Gable's ear looks about the same as Lovelady's. Oh Shit. I guess I was wrong about this. Just kidding. Clark Gable was known to have protruding ears.
