On the left is James Leavelle saying that he recognized Ruby the moment he emerged from the crowd. On the right is what really happened: he deliberately looked the other way, to his right, so as to avoid seeing Ruby.
Leavelle went on to say that he jerked Oswald behind him and thumped Ruby on the left shoulder with his right hand, all lies. If he had done those things, we'd see it in the films. We don't.
The one who does seem to be seeing it is Detective Roy Lowery, but he continues clasping his hands. Ironically, that is what Oswald was doing as he stood in the doorway during the JFK assassination.
