I received a communication today from a very prominent JFK researcher whom I shall not name. But, he contacted me to tell me that although he is not ready to advocate for Oswald in the doorway that he is very impressed with my work, and he is certainly willing to admit that it MIGHT be Oswald in the doorway. His mind has been pried open to the possibility, whereas before it was closed.
I consider this a victory. I consider it just about as good as an endorsement of Oswald in the doorway.
And I responded by asking him what his conviction was before, i.e. until now, about where Oswald was at the time of the shots. And he said that he really didn't have one- except that he knew that Oswald was not on the 6th floor.
And that only adds fuel to the fire of victory. And that's because it shows that there is no compelling evidence that Oswald was anywhere else, that there is no case to be made for him being anywhere else. If a prominent JFK researcher held no alternative conviction about where Oswald was during the shooting, you know that not only is the doorway claim strong but every other claim is weak.
So, we really have reached the point where the Oswald accusers claim he was on the 6th floor pumping rounds into Kennedy, while most of the Oswald defenders claim he was in the doorway.
And that is certainly true throughout the duration of my conflict with my opponents. Some of my opponents do not place Oswald on the 6th floor shooting at Kennedy, but of those, not one of them has proffered ANY alternative location for him. You would think that at least one of them would have said, "Oswald was not in the doorway because he was in x location doing such-and-such during the shooting." But no! Not one of them has said that! As vehemently as they have fought the idea of Oswald in the doorway, they have championed nothing else instead. It's like they are not FOR anything; they are just AGAINST Oswald in the doorway. And why? Not for any rational reason. All of the evidence, including much photographic evidence, proves that he was in the doorway.
It isn't a hypothesis; it is beyond doubt. The threshold of certainty has been reached and surpassed. It is as certain that Oswald was standing in the doorway as it is that George Custer was standing on the battlefield at Little Bighorn.
