So, this was Hickey 2.94 seconds before the Altgens photo. He hears a noise, so, he wants to turn around and look. What does he do? 

He just turns around and looks. He doesn't move his weight anywhere. He just twists:

He would remain sitting and just twist around. There was no need for him to turn his whole body around. 

But, look at him:

He can't be sitting because you can't sit facing that direction. And he's not standing because he would be taller if he were standing. He was a very tall guy. So, what is he doing? What position is he in? What did he do in 2.94 seconds to get in that position? But again: what position is he in? He's definitely not sitting, and he is definitely not standing. So, what position is he in?
