This is Mary Moorman standing on the spot from which she took her picture. Obviously, she is facing the other way. 

But, I certainly was close enough for comfort in my experiment.

This is her reenacting it. She is not only not turned left; she's turned a little right.

This is what she said, word for word:

"I had the car in the viewfinder, and then I just snapped the picture."

Not a word about being turned left. And get this: the announcer went on to say that she was standing about 25 feet away from the Kennedys. No! Mary Moorman was only about 15 feet away. Babushka Lady was 25 feet away.

Yes, the taker of the Moorman photo was 25 feet away, but it wasn't Mary Moorman.
