We get nothing but propaganda. This is from the New York Times:

Under Peace Plan, U.S. Military Would Exit Afghanistan Within Five Years

All American troops would withdraw from Afghanistan over the next three to five years under a new Pentagon plan being offered in peace negotiations that could lead to a government in Kabul that shares power with the Taliban.

But, this is what the Taliban is saying:

Clarification regarding ongoing Negotiations Process

The reality of the matter is that current talks have solely revolved around withdrawal of foreign forces and the nature of this pullout as well as nature of assurances regarding future Afghanistan. Any other reports and rumors in this regard are fabrications.

So, it hasn't even been offered. The Taliban wouldn't sit there and listen to it. What they want is us out ASAP, while they are agreeing not to let violent groups stage attacks on the US or its allies from Afghanistan, which is something they have no desire to do anyway, so it's no concession.  It's not what they're about and never has been. And if we tried to say one word about them having to share power with the Kabul government, they'd get up and leave. That NYT report is pure lies. The Taliban don't want us there- not for training and not for counter-terrorism strikes. They are not going to tolerate us staying in their country. They want us to get the hell out. Don't we get that?
