This is another comparison of Brawny Lee to Scrawny Harvey when he was in Russia. If you're going to say that it's the same guy, then obviously, he underwent a serious amount of wasting, and there would have to be a reason for that.

People can waste away from chronic illnesses, such as cancer, particularly terminal cancer- obviously, it was not an issue for Oswald.

People can waste away from depression, particularly, severe depression, but despite a reported suicide attempt, the veracity of which we don't know about, there are no grounds to assume that Oswald was clinically depressed in Russia. Besides, Oswald was just as thin as this in the other picture with Rosa when he first arrived in Russia.

People can waste away from old age, when their appetite diminishes and their digestion falters- obviously not an issue for Oswald. In fact, at his young age, he should have, if anything, been filling out and muscling up.

And obviously, at any time and at any place, if you're just not getting enough food, you can waste away. But, the Russians took care of Oswald in that respect. They provided him a VERY nice apartment in Minsk. By Russian standards, it was top of the line; you might say: rich. So, if they were doing that, surely they were giving him enough money for food.

The point is that for some people, being skinny is just their natural state; it's how they are.

I'm just finishing a biography of Jimmy Stewart, the actor, and it focuses mainly on his heroic military career. He was a bomber pilot in World War II. He was also a Squadron Commander. He went on to become a Brigadier General. But, when he was first drafted, he was rejected for being underweight. But, he wanted in, so he waited 3 months, and then he enlisted. And that time he squeaked by. But, there are rumors that there was some finagling going on, that he knew the the guy who did the weigh-in, and they finessed it.

But, it was a constant, never-ending struggle for him to try to maintain his weight. It said that he would keep jars of peanut butter around because he found that it was the one thing he could eat a lot of that agreed with him and seemed to help.

Here he is at the end of war, having returned home in 1945. This was outside his parents' hardware store in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Anyway, the point is that some people are just naturally thin. It's just the way they are. Jimmy Stewart was like that and Harvey Oswald was like that. But, Lee Oswald was not like that.

There is simply no way that these two were the same human being.
