bpete is just putting out a smokescreen. You can see the mark very plainly on history-matters.com:

That little discreet mark on the forearm is a deliberate thing that somebody put there. It is not a speck of dust. It is not an accidental swipe. And don't be fooled by the size of it because Lovelady was instructed by Joseph Ball to draw his arrow in the dark. We just got lucky that he got a little sloppy and overlapped the forearm a little bit so that we can see it.

We are just seeing a wee-bit of the tail-end of the arrow, and I suspect that the rest of the arrow (in the black) got smeared out by somebody.

Who would do such a thing? The same kind of people who would fake a bus ride and a cab ride.

What's the alternative? To think that there's another big arrow entirely in the black pointing to Doorman?

Well, in that case, they certainly would not have smeared that out, so here's the link again. Go back and look for that alternate arrow. Surely, there is going to be a hint or a trace of it there. Don't you think? Otherwise, what was the point of Joseph Ball having him draw it?

Once you're satisfied that there is no other arrow, you then realize that the little thing I found is the only other mark there is.

So, this particular image of CE 369 is truly the I Ching, the alpha and the omega, the ying and the yang, and the sum of all wisdom. It has the answer. You only have to look at it.
