No, Unger. They are two different images: one of her left forearm and the other of her right forearm.

Yes, I realize that on the left, we are seeing the palm of her left hand. Her hand is externally rotated. It has to be with the thumb being on the side that it is, and the cup of her hand being visible, and the fact that her fingers are flexed towards herself. But, on the right, it's very different. We're not seeing any basin effect of the inside of her hand; on the contrary, we're seeing the jutting protrusion of the knuckles of the back of her hand. Do you know the difference between concavity and convexity, Unger? And, we're seeing the thumb of her right hand opposing the fingers of her right hand. There is no doubt about this, Unger; it is her right hand.

Now, as far as the bracelet goes, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe she moved it from one wrist to the other. However, it's more likely that they photoshopped it on there. It does dress up her forearm. Without it, her waving arm would look a lot plainer. I could see why they would want it to be there. Here it is sans the bracelet.

Not as ritzy, is it? This photograph was not released until 2013, the year of the 50th commemoration. It's meant to be a dressy, showy, dazzling picture, a keepsake. So, they added a bracelet. In 2013, they had the whole world of digital photographic manipulation at their disposal. And giving her a bracelet was as easy as pie. Even I could have done that.

So, what does this whole thing amount to?  I have tried to give you a hint. I have tried to give you a nudge. I put an arrow there at the bottom. Remember?

This is Jackie's right arm:

At that particular moment, she wasn't waving. She may have been waving a moment before, and she may have been waving again a moment later. But, at that particular moment, she wasn't waving. And they felt that that didn't look good; they wanted her to be engaged with the crowd and actively responding to them; so they added that waving arm from another image.

Let's compare the bracelets as they appear on her left wrist and her right.

This is also a good shot showing you the difference between the cup that is the ventral surface of her hand on the left and the bumpy knuckled road that is the dorsal surface of her hand on the right. But notice that the bracelet looks much more substantial on the left. That's because they were conservative about putting a phony bracelet on her on the right.

There is absolutely no doubt about this, Unger, because it is definitely her right hand waving. The anatomy is clear.

The fact is that that waving arm can't be connected to her left shoulder, but it can't be connected to her right shoulder either. It's too high. I put a mark below where her right elbow is. They added that whole arm on there and just lined it up with JFK's for show.

There was nothing life and death involved here. This was TIME magazine, and they were just trying to sell magazines by offering a showy, dazzling picture. But, it was still wrong of them to do it. They were manipulating people, fooling the public, and that is not the job of a news organization. Shame on them.
