At the OIC, we have been talking up a storm about Oswald saying that he was born in New OrLEANS, accenting the second syllable and pronouncing it as a New Yorker would. Some have pointed out that Robert Oswald has always spoken with a strong "New Awlins" accent, but Lee did not- not at all. Not even slightly. And neither did his so-called mother Marguerite. 

But, get this: someone said that in the movie PARKLAND which was made by Tom Hanks, and which fortunately flopped at the box office, the actress playing Marguerite was made to speak with a Southern drawl. 



How dare they do that? That is blatant historical revisionism because Marguerite did NOT speak with a Southern drawl. She didn't sound any more like she was from New Orleans than I do. You can listen to her voice here:

So, if Robert Oswald grew up in a household with her as his mother, how did he get that strong Southern twang? And remember, there was no father in the household to influence him differently; just the mother. Listen to him twang here:
